For the fifth year, Kourd Gallery participates in ΜΙΑ Fair, the international contemporary Art Fair dedicated to photography that takes place in Milan. This year’s represented artist, Zetta Antsakli, through her “Petrokaravo” series captures the magic scene of the petrified ship under the spell of the mystical light. Appearing in the distance, the petrified ship sails eternally carrying us away in our imagination, inviting us to travel and dream of far away lands, to the end of the world. Reminiscent of a vision of an old traditional sailing boat, the "Petrokaravo" rises in splendour out of the sea inspiring the seafarers.
Born in Athens, Zetta Antsakli has participated in many group exhibitions, including MIA Fair 2013 and “Traveling around the Earth” at Goulandris Natural History Museum, Athens in 2012. She has also presented her work at solo exhibitions on the island of Spetses, Greece, in Athens, Croatia and Turkey. Her publication “Sights and sites” was being presented at the Benaki Museum, Athens in 2007 and her artwork named “HELLAS” is exhibited at the Athens International Airport, since 2012. Her work can be found in private and public collections in Europe, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece, as well as in the USA and the Middle East.
