This work by Giorgos Sikeliotis has the particularity of being one of the very few landscapes that he painted. His art is purely anthropocentric and his figures are characterized by their stylized form, levelness and obvious elements of folk tradition. Every so often, landscapes appear in Sikeliotis’ work after the 70s, however mainly etchings or themes taken from the industrial areas of England where the painter spent many years of his life.
