Lazongas’ painting has a deep philosophical dimension. Space and time are two essential concepts at the core of the majority of his work. In addition, it includes several references to formal expressions of ancient art, like in the first work (oil on canvas, 82×83 cm), thus projecting timelessness as an element for reflection. In other works however, like in the second one (mixed technique on canvas, 70×100 cm), Lazongas opts for a more gestural expression, where process and randomness become structural components of the artwork.
