Constantinos Papachristou, curator of the exhibition, states that:
The art historian Lida Kazantzaki states that:
«The crisis consist the heterotopia wherein the rifts with the social and cultural status quo occurred at the turn of the 20th century.
These are the starting points for the dialogue that takes place between the new printmakers and the acclaimed masters, painters and printmakers.
Varying techniques meet varied materials, and so these artists demonstrate the continuation of the magical art of printmaking, although still largely underappreciated in our country , mapping out through their work its evolution, from its outset coming up on the present.
They lean on their knowledge of the history of art and on the human experience to create shapes and forms out of the past and the present, and so they piece together the fragmented reality that has always made up our Being.»
